In 2023, a new Hyundai SUV with nameplate Mufasa was released in China by joint venture Beijing Hyundai, and the codename of this Mufasa is NU2, so that it is considered as the successor of 2^nd generation Hyundai ix35 or the upgraded edition of Hyundai ix35.
